Lara is a licensed professional counselor intern under the supervision of Dr. Adrian Warren. She works with children, adolescents, and adults going through a variety of situations.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. She then pursued a Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis from the Mexican Psychoanalytic Society in Mexico City. In 2017 she earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University in Miami. During her internship, she worked with immigrants fleeing from their countries due to domestic or gang violence. In addition, Lara worked group therapy sessions with sex offenders and drug/alcohol abusers that had court ordered therapy. She then worked with a non-profit organization and provided counseling to women and children who were victims of domestic violence. Lara is interested in helping people from the LGTBQI population as well as people dealing with anxiety and depression. She works from a psychoanalytic psychotherapy standpoint letting clients be the discoverers of their journeys.
